Guess What?

I started college at BYU-Idaho in January 2008 (because they assign 2 out of 3 possible semesters to students to be able to admit more of them, so I sat out Fall Semester). So.

AFTER:

  • 5 1/2 years of on and off, full-time/part-time classes
  • 1 Academic Probation
  • 1 Academic Suspension
  • 1 hardcore heartbreak (and a chunky get-mentally-healthy-again stretch)
  • 9 Jobs (Never been fired! That's what happens when you take two part-time jobs every time you move back and forth between Rexburg and Provo, rather than one full time.)
  • 7 Sets of roommates, only living with one of them more than once. Shout out to Rachael Martin!
  • 9 Moves, while single (including moving next door, moving out after 5 days and moving in te middle-of-the-night)
AFTER:
  • 1 AWESOME first-semester-back GPA, after suspension
  • 1 Lovely fall-in-love story
  • 1  Engagement
  • 1 Wedding
  • 2 Universities
  • 1 Associate's Degree
  • 1 and 8/9 completed pregnancies, including morning sickness during finals and full-time student status during 3rd trimester twice
  • 1 Beautiful, healthy daughter's birth (yay!)
  • 5 Months of colicky crying in poor daughter, while-mama-was-doing-evening-classes-while-daddy-also-went-to-school-and-worked-part-time. Blegh.
  • 1 Utah State Hospital volunteer experience, playing with six 10-year-olds with some mental struggles during P.E. Fun!
  • 1 Summer Internship, while husband completed his at the same time
  • 8 moves while married (including four different homes in four months, in three states)
AFTER:
  • 1/3 college credits completed as a mama
  • 1 newborn-grown-to-two-year-old
  • 6 months living out of mainly suitcases with a one-year-old
  • 2 times our bank account dropping to the single digits
  • 3 1/2 years of marriage
  • 1 4.0 GPA
  • 1 winter-spent-in-a-beach house (random)
  • Countless late-nights for homework, or awakenings with baby
  • MULTIPLE, multiple blessings
After ALL of it:

I'm graduating from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. I finished my last class on Friday and will be walking in graduation, 37 weeks pregnant August 15 & 16.

BOOO YAAAHHH!!!
