Big, Fat, Life Changes. Or, Changing: Homes (four times), Cars, "Just for Now" Jobs, Ultimate Career Paths, and Sam's Student Status Over the Course of Four Months!

I wrote a really long, thorough version of this, but realized most probably wouldn't read it anyway. So if you disagree let me know, but otherwise here's a quick summary of our past four months for those who don't like reading all that much:

In February Sam stopped working for Deseret Landscape and we moved out of California and in with his parents.
In March we sold our car and Sam's parents gave us their old one, which was new-to-us. We also found out we were having a boy. :)
In April we decided Sam should be a Physical Therapist someday rather than a Speech and Language Pathologist someday, and started Sam back at BYU as a Post-Bac student to take the prerequisites that are needed.
Also in April (the last two days) we moved in (kinda temporarily, since we weren't sure if Sam was going to be going to USU or BYU at first) with my parents.
In May, we had this incredible subsidized housing opportunity fall into our laps, so we moved into a place at the end of the month. It's three bedrooms which is a special treat, plus it has washer and dryer hookups which is even better! As soon as we find a pair that work well enough and are cheap enough, we'll probably buy them and take advantage of the hookups. Plus there's a dishwasher-sweet.
And in June, a job that seemed like it was designed for him (the company is called Multiling, and his bachelor's is in Linguistics, plus they wanted someone with library experience and he worked at the BYU library for just shy of two years) fell into Sam's lap, so he started that. The job is part-time, good pay and flexible schedule, and will look way better on a resume than most anything else he might have been doing at this time. So we're happy!

So basically...life is totally different for us now. But not in a bad way. I think we're happy with where we're at. :) Now the hard part is just finding our groove with the current day-to-day demands...well for Sam mostly. Me too, for finishing up school, but after that my schedule will pretty much be more like a normal stay-at-home mamas. At least, one who's married to someone working and in school. (I have equivalent to about 5 credits left that I need to complete by July 26th-ish, if I'm going to graduate in August...so cross your fingers for me.)
