what a sweetie...

Ok so Sam and I don't get to see each other very often during week days-well, at least Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays because of our schedules. But I was going to my next class on Friday and ran into my hubby on the way! What a pleasant surprise.
Right after the class I was about to attend, I had a break. And I knew that he had a break then as well, so I told him to come to such and such building and we could have lunch together (which were left-overs from the delicious dinner he had made the night before, but him being a great and willing cook is a totally different story). So he said sure, and I scurried off to Philosophy.
When he's waited for me before to get out of Philosophy, he sat on this one certain bench. So I looked for him there, but was surprised and disappointed to not find him there.
I remembered when I ran into him he'd been walking with some good friends of his who he sometimes spends time with during his long breaks on school days(because he's taking two classes online, he only has class from 7:45-8:45, 10:15-11:15, and 3:15-5:30 MWF). I thought maybe he decided to just stay at their place.
So I went outside (no reception) and called him, but he didn't answer. I went back inside kind of discouraged, but trying to convince myself that this was silly: he spends pretty much all his free time with me during the day, and they're good friends. Maybe he just wanted some guy time. Didn't mean he didn't love me or anything.
Still, I was really having to put forth effort not to be disappointed (and was failing)...but while I was in line for the microwave, lo and behold, my hot husband was sitting on a bench nearby! Let me tell ya, that was a wonderful surprise.
So when I went over and talked to him, he said, "You thought I wasn't coming? Come on, I'm a man of my word!" And when I mentioned he might have wanted to spend it with his buddies, he said kind of taken aback "You're my wife! You're way more important" in this 'how ridiculous to doubt!' voice.
Awwwwww!
Yeah I just always want to remember that, so thought I'd tack it on down before I forget.

In other news...Sam has made me laugh by:
Saying 'Knitten'
Saying 'Squoze'
and not being able to kneel down. Seriously, holy cow. I discovered this when the car broke down in Provo (which is another long, wonderful story) and we had to stay the night: he cannot do it! He can't even put his bum down to his feet- he tries, and sounds like he's lifting two hundred pounds. Or when he tries to do it kind of sitting sideways, not directly on his legs-think 'lady-like'-he falls over onto his side. He looks like he's trying to twist in an absurd way, but all he's trying to do is stay upright.

I love my Sam! the end

It was so fun having you guys over the other night! We'll have to do it again.
